Donation Race

Not only will teams be competing for glory on the pitch, but they will also be involved in a heated donation race.  Since our tournament began in 2014, we have raised close to $38,000.  Help us reach our 2019 goal of adding $10,000 to that!  Reach out to families, friends, businesses, leagues, and encourage donors to contribute to Celebrate the Ta Tas online.  The team with the highest donation total will win our coveted Donation Award!

June Spotlight

Meet Sandra Goldman: friend, wife, mother, survivor, and an inspiration to us all!

In 2010 I was diagnosed for the first time with stage 2 breast cancer. After a single mastectomy, some chemo and reconstruction I stumbled upon Celebrate the TaTas, Hadassah’s Breast Cancer research Fundraiser. I got my new breast covered with a Phoenix from the Ashes painted by a female artist. It was such a fun thing to do, liberating and an amazing sisterhood full of sparkles was created.

In 2016 I was once again diagnosed with breast cancer and after now a total of over a dozen surgeries, 20 chemos and 30 radiations I am once again cancer free.

I am so grateful for your participation in Celebrate the TaTas Tournament of Champions and your willingness to donate funds towards breast cancer research. It is with the help of your pledges that one day we will be finding a cure for this vile disease so that no woman nor man has to go through what I have experienced and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If you have a story that you would like us to share, please email Alex at a.vidaurri@ncsoccer.org.  We want to celebrate our community members who have been impacted by this disease.
